- | RISC OS Proxy Server © Chris Audley, 1996 |
- | Version 0.15a, Tue 14th May 1996 |
- | |
- \-----------------------------------------------------/
-
- The purpose of the proxy server is to allow several networked machines
- without 'real' IP addresses to fetch WWW pages and telnet to remote machines
- via a single machine with an internet connection.
-
- Or even allow a machine with a permenant internet connection to allow another
- machine without a real IP address to connect via modem and request WWW pages
- and telnet to remote machines.
-
-
- ************************ Please Note ******************
- There is now a web site with details of development of
- the Navaho proxy server at http://www.tcp.co.uk/~santaari/navaho
-
- A free, cut down, version of Navaho will still be provided here.
-
-
-
- This latest release (v0.15) should have sorted out some stability problems,
- and now properly honours the maximum number of requests allowed.
-
- A problem with the external network checking has hopefully been sorted out,
- and the logging has been altered quite a bit.
-
- Please read the files in !ProxySrvr.docs for further details.
